Sarah Smith
It is with our deepest regret that we must announce the passing of our beautiful and beloved Sarah Rose.
Sarah Rose Smith was born March 1, 1999, in Williamson, to Richard “Rick” Smith and Kimberly Smith, formerly of Isaban.
Sarah lived most of her life in Isaban before becoming a resident of the Princeton area. Sarah working in healthcare came as no surprise, as she was hard-working, kind and compassionate to everyone.
Sarah gave in death as she gave in life. Honoring her generous wish, the gift of life was shared with many people in need through organ and tissue donation. Sarah set the bar high for all who followed behind her. To know Sarah was to love her, as she never met a stranger. Her quick wit and charismatic disposition made her booming and benevolent personality a welcome warmth in all gatherings.
Above all, Sarah’s greatest passion was for being a loving and devoted mother to her precious 6-year-old daughter, Lylah. Lylah was the apple of Sarah’s eye and her happiness and well-being were paramount for Sarah.
Sarah was preceded in death by her mother, Kimberly Smith; her maternal grandfather, Cletus Lester; her maternal step-grandfather, Jeff Warner; and her paternal grandparents, Robert and Delia Smith.
She is survived by her father, Richard “Rick” Smith (Dreama); her sister, Savannah Smith (Chris Justice); her maternal grandmother, Barbara Lester; her uncle, Jason Lester (Jeri Sue); her aunt, Tracie McNemar (Robert); her deeply loved nieces and nephew, Violet Justice, Kacie Justice and Elijah Justice; her loving cousins, Sydney Lester, Mallory Lester, Rylan McNemar and Emerson McNemar; and a host of family too extensive to name.
Services were held at 6 p.m., Friday, July 26, 2024, at the Isaban Church of God with Rev. Mike Lucas officiating. Cremation followed services.
Arrangements were under the direction of Mounts Funeral Home, Inc., of Gilbert.
